The newest addition to the Kamarron Design team, Araya M. Jensen, CKD, Allied ASID brings to the team nearly 10 years experience in the design field.  Araya has joined the firm as an associate.  She brings an invaluable knowledge of the kitchen & bath industry, along with innate skills from her work as a designer in the furniture, lighting and tile industries.  She espouses the firm’s philosophy of designing to meet the client’s tastes and goals and serves as an invaluable support designer to any project.

Family, friends and clients alike have been known to call her “Sunshine” like her name suggests (A-ray-a Sunshine) and with her sunny disposition it is no wonder. Always smiling, Araya’s calm, confident and professional nature put her clients at ease. Growing up in northern Minnesota, her approach to design has been influenced by her natural surroundings namely the north shore of Lake Superior and the fine north woods.  She prides herself with the ability to see the beauty and potential in every space and believes that her clients’ homes should promote their health, happiness and legacy no matter how large or small. Araya’s practical approach to design verifies that function always comes first and she has proven that truly great design is what develops from combining her clients’ wishes and clear vision. Her design philosophy ensures that everything in a room should have a purpose and that every piece of furniture should have a specific function or better yet, multiple functions. She makes certain that every space is completely personal.

Araya’s background consists of an interior design degree and countless years experience creating some of the most thoughtful home designs today. Her knowledge of all aspects of design includes specialties such as lighting design, custom home furnishings, and kitchen & bath design. In 2006 she earned her certification in kitchen design through the National Kitchen and Bath Association. Araya has served on various NKBA committees gaining knowledge and respect from her peers.  Her talent has won her several prestigious awards and appearances in local and national publications such as Midwest Home, Twin Cities Home Improvement, Kitchen Makeovers, Home Style and Lyved.com.  Araya takes pride in her knowledge and experience and feels it necessary to share it with others; she can be found speaking about design and remodeling at local community home improvement fairs and conducting community education classes as a well-respected expert in the field.
